Hometown: Liverpool, PA

School: Pennsylvania State University

Major / Species: Animal Science

Career Goals: I am a charismatic person who likes to learn. I often refer to myself as a forever student because I never want to stop learning anything about everything. I have been in school for five years trying to learn as much as I can so that I may be an asset to society and so that I can have a job that allows me to learn and challenge myself every day. In five and a half years I intend to have two outstanding degrees in Biology and Animal Science. I want to and have always wanted to be a scientists. After finishing my second undergraduate degree I plan to transition directly into graduate school to study how zoonoses are affecting humans and animals and to help find new ways of combating these diseases in the future. I have not yet decided whether or not I am going to continue to my Ph.D or stop at my master’s. I am trying to take my life one day at a time. Ultimately, I would like to either work for the CDC or become a professor so that I have the opportunity to continue my education far passed retirement age. I want a career that is not stress free and that allows me to satisfy myself mentally every day and maybe one that still leaves time for me to pursue life and live it to the fullest.
