Since I was a child my life has revolved around different animal and food production systems. I remember my grandparent producing different products for sell in our small county from the family farm. All this introduces me to the agriculture field; for that reason I choose go to one of the best agriculture University in Latin America named Zamorano to obtain my bachelor degree. This accomplishment was possible thanks to the scholarship that Zamorano University give it to me based on my good academic performance. I decide to move in the direction of Food Science and Technology because this field is required for any supply chain in animal and food production. After I complete my bachelor degree, I was working in the family farm with one of my uncles in Guatemala. This farm is a completely integrated system. Where for me was really easy to apply different knowledge that I acquired. Be able to work with beef and dairy cattle, as well with fish production systems and specially poultry. This experience helped me to realize that are still a lot of work necessary to have a completely vertical animal production system. With this in mind, I decided to expand and gain more scientific and technical knowledge to apply in the animal and food industry. And as international student was difficult to me obtain an opportunity to continue study my Master?s degree. I strongly believe that current animal and food production systems have the capacity to feed the world. However, a large amount of people are still living on subsistence. After complete all the requirements to obtain my Master?s degree. My passion and next objective in my life is continue pursuing a career in the animal and food industry. There are still a lot of knowledge that for my personal and professional growth is important. If a have the opportunity to work with people with several years? experience in areas of animal science not only in office but must important in farms. I will take advantage of every opportunity to growth and learn. And be able to obtain all this knowledge will be essential for my idea of have a complete vertical production system back in my family farm. There are still some gaps of technology, research and technical information necessary to fill up. I am completely sure that my passion for learn and growth in the animal and food science field will be my inspiration for the rest of my life. And wake me up every day without any kind of regret of my actual decisions since I will be completely full of happiness for having achieved each of my goals.
