Career Goals:

Being involved in FFA my junior and senior year made me realize I wanted to pursue a career in agriculture. I decided to declare my major in Poultry Production because of the poultry judging contests and the agri-science career day that I participated in. I really was intrigued by the poultry industry and wanted to know more. I am thankful for the opportunity to attend Auburn University where the curriculum is focused on research and learning through hands on projects and assignments. I have been able to volunteer at the processing plant, raise my own flock, and dissect chickens. I attended the International Production and Processing Expo, where I had multiple interviews for an internship position with different companies. I decided to accept an offer for the position from Tyson Foods this summer where I hope to learn more. My career objective is to grow with a poultry company by working my way up to become a manager or a supervisor. I am open to traveling and would like to learn more about the different aspects of the poultry industry. After a few years of working and traveling, I would like to go back to school to get a PhD or to go to veterinarian school.
