Major / Species: Animal Science

Career Goals: I have had the outstanding opportunity to observe and experience various aspects of the agriculture industry. From a young age, I dedicated days on the farm pouring hours of heart and drive into raising and showing livestock. In addition to this, I developed an aspiration to analyze the quality traits of production through judging, as well as had the opportunity to communicate with consumers on our industry practices through various experiences at Iowa State University. The passion that I possess towards the production livestock industry has led me to where I am today and drives me to continuously serve as an advocate for the agriculture industry. With this being said, upon completing my undergraduate bachelors degree in animal science with a minor in agriculture education and emphasizing in the swine industry, my career goals will consist of becoming a successful, highly respected educator and advocate for the livestock production industry. I have an aspiration and an ongoing ambition to analyze and discover factors that will lead to optimum communication between producers and the public to create an industry change. By working alongside and communicating directly to farmers while working towards a common goal of becoming more transparent to the consumers and the public, I strive to help develop a positive outlook on the agriculture industry as a whole in order to continue to provide for our developing world for countless years to come.
