Thank you so much to the sponsors, board, and committee members of the Targeting Excellence program. I truly appreciate your generosity to support students in animal agriculture and food animal veterinary medicine. Thank you for your investment in my future as I strive to pursue excellence in the animal agriculture industry. Thank you!
My career goals are to obtain a position within the field of reproductive physiology and veterinary medicine where I can be an educator, mentor, and researcher. From a young age, I was involved in my local 4-H and knew a career in the agriculture livestock sector was for me. My passion for reproductive physiology and veterinary medicine grew while pursuing my undergraduate degree at Purdue University. I was able to gain multiple invaluable experiences during my undergraduate career in reproductive physiology research and working at my local veterinary clinic. I graduated with a Bachelor?s in Animal Sciences in three years and was motivated enough to pursue a DVM/ MSc dual degree at Purdue University. Currently, I am on track to graduate with my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and a Master of Science in Reproductive Physiology which would allow me to stay in academia to share my expertise with students and industry professionals. I?d like to play an integral role in research and education by teaching veterinary medicine, livestock production, and animal reproduction courses to further agricultural knowledge and advancements. I aspire to become a professor who can ignite learning and help students find what they are passionate about to help conquer their dreams. I am excited to become an advocate for agriculture, to better the production of our food animal species, and become an impactful educator to agriculture students and industry professionals.
