I would like to thank all of the sponsors of Targeting Excellence. Your funds are allowing students continue their education so they can further their support and growth of agricultural production. I would also like to thank the board of directors and state committees. You all put in a lot of time and effort to select the recipients and also grow this scholarship program. All of your hard work is going towards something great and useful.
Currently I am planning on going to graduate school at after undergraduate Iowa State University. There I will go for swine research and focus on commercial swine. I have always worked in the commercial swine industry so I will plan on staying in this industry. In the past I have worked in different areas of the industry such as logistics, transportation, construction, human resources, and other areas. My passion is in production so I will choose a career in this area. My ideal job would to be part of a research team for a commercial pork producer in the Midwest. I feel like research is an ever changing aspect of the industry so I have a true passion for it.
