As an agricultural education major, I hope to work in the agricultural industry as an educator in both the public and private sector. I hope to continue my education and pursue both a Master’s program as well as a Doctoral program. I then plan on working in education and policy in agricultural development, trade and food insecurity issues. Specifically, I want to work in the food animal sector and influence the role that food animal products can play in reducing both domestic and foreign food insecurity. This coming summer (2015) I will be an intern for Elanco Animal Health, where I will have the opportunity to learn about the business, marketing and sales of agricultural products that support the food animal industry.
