Agriculture has always been a huge part of my life, and it always will be. I’m so thankful to receive this scholarship to help me further my education, and continue to learn and make a difference in the industry!
My personal career goals are to graduate from Iowa State University with a degree in Animal Science, and then to get a job/career that I love. As of right now, I am very interested in the process of Embryo Transfer and other similar technologies. Hopefully with my upcoming internship with Diamond Bar E Genetics, I will figure out if that is possibly something I would want to do as a career. Through some animal science classes I have taken here at DMACC, I have found that animal nutrition is also very interesting. I love all aspects of the Ag Industry, but the animal science and livestock portion of it is something I have grown to love. In the later years of my life, I will take over our family farm and be the 5th generation to take care of it and farm it. I hope to learn as much as I can through future internships and jobs that I may have, and use that information as best as I can to improve not only my view on the ag industry, but others as well.
