Food Business Management

Career Goals:

Growing up on a farm, my life has always been centered around food and agriculture. As a future leader in agriculture, I aspire to make a lasting impact on the food industry. My solid education in Food Business Management, which incorporates food science and agricultural classes along with business and marketing courses, prepare me to enter the food and agricultural industry with a diverse education and with knowledge and experience in multiple areas. At my time at The Ohio State University, I have completed classes on agricultural business, food safety and law, operations management, meat science, microbiology, product development, and many other aspects of food business and animal production. I will use the information I have learned in my major to contribute in many aspects of a food processing plant, whether that be in quality assurance, marketing, or plant management. As of now, I have not accepted any post graduate positions, but I am confident that my major has prepared me to take on diverse, leadership roles anywhere within an animal food processing company. I am very passionate about my major, and I am grateful that I have the opportunity to learn something new and stimulating every day that is relevant to my life as a consumer. In my career, I am assured that I will effectively contribute to a food processing plant by applying myself and what I have learned in my studies to implement innovation, regulate safety, or find ways to maximize growth revenue.
