Targeting Excellence was founded in 2013 to support students who are persuing food animal agriculture degrees and encourage them to stay in the industry after graduation.  There is a large need for qualified graduates to work in this industry to ensure food security for a growing world population.  In 2022 Targeting Excellence awarded over $180,000 in scholarships to 71 students thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and donors. 

For 2023, TE has set a goal to raise $175,000 in scholarship funds to be awarded in 2024. State committee members volunteer their time and resources to raise these funds with the support of national and regional industry partners. In keeping with our mission, these committees hosted events for 2023 in Alabama, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
